Case Studies for Boosters, Brokers, and Bridges
Boosters, Brokers, and Bridges describes "real-world" ideas for college access programs.
The contents of Boosters, Brokers, and Bridges are derived from an initial group of Lumina Foundation grantees, supported from 2003-2005, through its McCabe Fund. The following describes program ideas contained in this publication:
- Boosters describes programs that provide encouragement and a strong belief in college possibilities for the youth they serve.
- Brokers programs provide or facilitate access to a variety of services and resources on behalf of youth and make such services available as integrated programs for college access.
- Bridges describe programs that serve as links between secondary and postsecondary education, to fill in gaps or expand resources to make college going and college success more likely for targeted youth.
