Purpose: To plan for the development of a new prototype of a financial aid information system that engages students.

Amount: $200,000

Summary: Using human-centered design methodologies, College Forward proposes to 1) design research in seven states about student attitudes, behavior, information/support needs and their present interaction with systems and platforms; 2) add game design experts to define and develop minimum prototype requirements as related to financial aid and financial literacy and construct a prototype; 3) field test a prototype noting student access and usage patterns; 4) evaluate pilot, report to field and determine whether or not to build a large-scale beta version of prototype.
