Summary:
The National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) will expand its capacity to provide high quality student level data used to inform various stakeholders at federal, state, and institutional levels on postsecondary educational outcomes. The NSC will reconfigure its databases (with current coverage of 93 percent of college enrollments across all postsecondary institutions) to
- augment and validate an array of data elements received from postsecondary institutions
- provide current, reliable student level data, and
- create timely national reports that reflect a more accurate picture of student transfer behaviors, time-to-degree, and student persistence.
