INDIANAPOLIS – Lumina Foundation for Education announced today the election of Michael L. Smith, Indianapolis, and Albert Yates, Ph.D., Fort Collins, Colo., to the Foundation Board of Directors.  Smith and Yates were elected at the board’s annual meeting on April 27, 2006.

“Mike Smith has a superior record of leadership in business and philanthropy in Central Indiana, and Al Yates has been an exemplary state and national leader in higher education,” according to Martha D. Lamkin also announced the retirement of founding Chairman, Edward A.
