Lumina Foundation names vice president and general counsel 

Indianapolis — Lumina Foundation for Education has announced the appointment of Holiday Hart McKiernan as vice president and general counsel.
 
McKiernan brings more than 20 years of legal experience focusing on the nonprofit sector.  For the past 12 years, she served the Indianapolis-based national headquarters of Alpha Chi Omega, most recently serving as executive director and counsel.  She also has practiced law at two local firms — Baker & Daniels and Leagre & Barnes.  

McKiernan frequently speaks at conferences and publishes articles in publications supporting college leadership and legal governance.  She has served as the secretary/treasurer for the Association for Interdisciplinary Initiatives in Higher Education Law and Policy, Inc. She currently serves as chairperson for Bishop Chatard High School’s Board of Regents.  

McKiernan graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University, Greencastle, Ind.  She also graduated with honors from Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, Ind.
