Lumina’s Merisotis on State of the Union: Why Higher Ed must redesign system

At Tuesday’s State of the Union address, President Barack Obama said the nation needs to reduce the cost of higher education so Americans will have educational opportunities that lead directly to jobs. Lumina President Jamie Merisotis says our nation must both reduce the cost of college and increase the number of highly qualified college graduates to meet the job requirements of the future. And that, Merisotis says, requires redesign of higher education to make it more productive. More »

Louisville’s college attainment goal: 55,000 degrees
