American colleges and universities are deeply unequal when it comes to their finances. A small handful of colleges hold the vast majority of wealth and financial resources—and these colleges enroll far too few low-income students and students of color. But what would happen if the tables were turned? What if colleges serving the nation’s lowest-income students and students of color had the most (or at least equal) resources?
