Changes to the SAT test—the first since 2005—are designed to reinforce evidence-based thinking in students and promote college and career readiness and success, says the College Board. Among the forthcoming changes: "relevant" vocabulary words, a focus on fewer math topics, and asking students to cite specific passages to support their answers.
