The year-round Pell Grant needs to be reinstated, albeit with some tweaks to ensure the program doesn’t get cut again, says a new report from New America Foundation. The study, which explores the history of the year-round Pell Grant, regulations responsible for its implementation, and the reasoning for its demise, suggests that the year-round option should be offered only to students studying during the summer.
