National participation in the ACT college admissions exam rose this year, but average scores for the Class of 2015 barely budged in English, math, reading, and science, according to a new report by ACT. Nationally, 40 percent of the 1.9 million test takers show what ACT calls a "strong readiness" for college in most subject areas.
