There will be 740,000 job openings in Washington State over the next five years, says this report from the Washington Roundtable. The majority of these job opportunities—particularly those that support upward mobility and good quality of life—will be filled with workers who have postsecondary education or training, the report says. Currently, fewer than 1 in 3 Washington state students go on to earn a postsecondary credential. The study includes a series of recommendations to raise the state’s postsecondary attainment rate.
