Low-Income Students at Selective Colleges

Contrary to popular perception, the share of students at the 200 most selective public and private colleges who are from low-income households did not decline over the past 16 years, states a report from American Enterprise Institute. However, the share of students at these institutions who are from middle-income families has steadily declined, the report says.
