Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) have an important role to play in producing the talent necessary to fulfill the needs of the nation’s current and future STEM workforce, according to this report. Despite their limited resources, these institutions have a successful history of providing a multifaceted return on investment for students, communities, and the STEM workforce. With targeted funding, attention, and support, they can contribute much more, the report states.
