This report examines ways in which Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) serve as a viable vehicle for social mobility.  While HBCUs enroll more low-income students than other colleges, the report says nearly 70 percent of HBCU students end up with at least middle-class incomes. The report includes recommendations for researchers looking to further explore the economic outcomes of HBCU students.
