Travis Powell

Travis Powell is the Executive Vice President and General Counsel at the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education.  Travis serves as chief advisor to the Council President, manages Council operations, and directly oversees the licensure of private colleges, government relations, and communications.  Prior to joining the Council staff on November 1, 2011, Travis worked in the Office of General Counsel at Kentucky’s Finance and Administration Cabinet for 5 years and served the last 2 ½ years as Deputy General Counsel.  He received his undergraduate degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College and earned Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Kentucky.
