Brittany Wheeler

Brittany Wheeler is the grants management associate at Lumina Foundation, an independent, private foundation in Indianapolis that is committed to making opportunities for learning beyond high school available to all.

Before joining Lumina, she was a patient access representative for the Community Health Network. In that role, she verified insurance coverage and eligibility, working closely with medical staff to determine appropriate procedures and coding for diagnoses. Prior to that, she was a preschool teacher for 12 years—10 at the Jewish Community Center of Indianapolis and two years with the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township.

Wheeler holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education with a minor in special education from Ball State University.
