Mandy Facer

Mandy Facer is the director of journalism and digital strategies at Lumina Foundation, an independent, private foundation in Indianapolis that is committed to making opportunities for learning beyond high school available to all. She leads Lumina’s digital and social outreach strategy and partnerships with nonprofit and public news organizations such as PBS NewsHour, The Texas Tribune, and Washington Monthly.

Before joining the foundation in 2025, Facer was vice president of marketing services for Well Done Marketing, an Indianapolis-based full-service agency. In that role, she led a team of 22 and provided clients with strategic planning, crisis management, and executive counsel. Prior to that, she was marketing director at OneAmerica Financial in Indianapolis and at a nonprofit that combats human trafficking.

Facer earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Brigham Young University and is pursuing a master’s degree in creative writing at Butler University.
