The 30th edition of Kids Count Data Book from the Annie E. Casey Foundation examines how America’s child population has changed, demographically and geographically. Among the findings: African American and American Indian students failed to graduate from high school on time at double the rate of their White peers, at 22 percent and 28 percent, respectively, compared to 11 percent of White students. The rate for Latino students was 20 percent.
