Adult learners who attend community colleges often experience a unique set of academic and non-academic challenges. This is particularly true for learners in rural America, where resources and community supports are less abundant. A new report from Jobs for the Future offers insight into how rural community colleges are overcoming these barriers and designing learning systems and pathways that help adults and other non-traditional populations feel welcome, confident, and supported throughout their postsecondary journey.
