In the next decade, California is expected to need nearly 450,000 new health care workers, due in part to expanded coverage under the Affordable Care Act, as well as the growth and aging of the state’s population. To meet these new workforce demands, California’s two-year educational institutions must expand training opportunities for allied health care jobs, says this report from the Public Policy Institute of California.
