Career technical education programs are often cited as an attractive alternative to four-year colleges for some students, yet very little systematic evidence exists on the returns to specific vocational certificates and degrees, asserts this working paper from Center for Poverty Research. Using administrative data covering the California Community College system and linked administrative earnings records, the study estimates returns to CTE education.
