College-bound students often make decisions about their major without a clear understanding of how it can ultimately align with career options. In doing so, they may accumulate excess credits, prolong the time to a degree, or even drop out of school. This report outlines components of a strategy called “Purpose First” that aims to help students examine their options, make informed decisions on a major, and achieve goals toward on-time graduation.
