Many students arrive to college lacking the skills expected for postsecondary-level work. As state leaders seek to increase college enrollment and completion, public institutions have sought to lessen the delays created by remedial course requirements. Tennessee, for example, has taken an approach that allows students to complete their remediation requirements in high school. This study examines the program’s impact on college enrollment and credit accumulation.
