In a first-of-its-kind report, the Annie E. Casey Foundation draws on a new source of national and state-level data to illustrate the experience of transitioning from foster care to adulthood. The study offers insight on the challenges that young people face while in and exiting care, how foster youth are faring in each state as they transition to adulthood, and information on the ways that the foster care experience and outcomes differ for young people of color.
