A nationwide alliance of high graduation-rate colleges and universities has made significant progress in improving opportunities for low- and moderate-income students. Since its creation in 2016, the American Talent Initiative has more than tripled, to 108 institutions strong. In 2017–18, ATI members enrolled 7,291 more lower-income students than in the prior year.
