A report by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce Foundation finds that school counselors are not meeting the postsecondary needs of students, due in large part to what it calls a “stagnant system” and a “variety of situations often out of their control.” According to the study, most Indiana school counselors spend less than 25 percent of their time on college and career guidance.
