Higher-education data systems in the United State are outdated and therefore unable to adequately answer some of the core questions facing students, colleges, and policy makers, states this policy brief from the Institute for Higher Education Policy. The report also reviews efforts to identify a common set of measures to answer such questions as, “Which students have access to which colleges?” and “What outcomes do students experience after college in the workplace and society?”
