Rhode Island’s overall college completion rate is above the national average, yet the rate for Latinos lags behind and remains far below the completion rate for white Rhode Islanders in both Providence and the state, says this report from the Annenberg Institute. In addition to providing local data on college completion rates, the study gives an overview of systemic elements leading to increased college persistence for all college-going students, plus examples of promising strategies at Rhode Island’s postsecondary institutions and local community-based organizations.
