College course-taking by public high school students stands out in California, according to a report from Wheelhouse: The Center for Community College Leadership and Research. The report shows that 12.6 percent of public high school students in California are part of a dual-enrollment program. Nationally, only 11 percent of high school students participate in dual enrollment. At the same time, disparities in college course-taking by California high school students are substantial, the report notes.
