A report from the Center for American Progress proposes “recalibrating” the country’s workforce development system to ensure that training improves worker productivity and leads to high-quality jobs. The report recommends giving workers more influence in training investment decisions that happen at the local level, as well as expanding public and private sector investments in high-quality sectoral training programs that are developed and delivered by partnerships between labor organizations, educators, and employers.
