Student loan debt for graduate students is on the rise, and Black students are the hardest hit, suggests this report. The study, which examines the $37 billion in student debt that U.S. graduate students accrue each year, proposes several policy solutions to address the inequities. This includes creating price caps on graduate programs and requiring programs to not produce more debt than graduates can pay off.
