There is steadily growing consensus around a critical issue in the nation’s higher education system: the need to modernize our postsecondary data infrastructure. This report shares insights from a diverse array of stakeholders about the Federal Student-Level Data Network, the data elements and definitional options needed to meet pending legislative requirements, how to maximize the quality and utility of the data, and what can be done to minimize the burden on institutions.
