The nation’s community colleges play a central role in producing a more educated workforce and promoting social mobility. But many students who enter these institutions do not graduate—only about a third of students earn a degree or certificate within six years. A new report examines how three community colleges in Ohio are successfully changing that scenario with a modified version of the Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) from the City University of New York (CUNY).
