Over the past decade, research on the benefits of a college degree and the economic consequences of the Great Recession have galvanized policymakers, advocates, and higher education leaders to increasingly focus on postsecondary attainment. The report builds on prior work that details states’ approaches to and progress toward meeting their attainment goals.
