Some California colleges are making significant progress when it comes to reforming mathematics education, with many implementing strategies that improve math outcomes for students who are traditionally underrepresented. Still, additional steps are needed to close continuing equity gaps. This report highlights two untapped opportunities that can help: adopting inclusive classroom practices and ensuring that traditionally excluded students have the opportunity to enter STEM fields.
