Texas has long been an innovator in policies, systems, and practices to ensure that young adults from low-income backgrounds are prepared for postsecondary education and careers. This working paper provides an overview of Texas policies that support Back on Track pathways for opportunity youth to attain high school and postsecondary credentials. It also identifies opportunities and gaps for improving these outcomes.
