Formal and informal mentoring programs continue to be a key strategy for getting students into and through college, says this report from Civic Enterprises. In the study, 76 percent of at-risk young adults who had a mentor at some point in their lives said they aspire to enroll in and graduate from college, compared to 56 percent of at-risk individuals who lacked that personal support, the report says.
