Mapping Your Future joins other organizations in supporting Lumina Foundation’s 2025 goal.
Mapping Your Future’s mission to enable individuals to achieve life-long success by empowering schools, students, and families with web-based college, financial aid, career, and financial literacy information and services aligns with Goal 2025. By supporting and helping to accomplish the goal, which is to increase the percentage of Americans with high-quality degrees and credentials to 60 percent by the year 2025, Mapping Your Future also fulfills its mission.
While the unemployment rate over the past couple of years for those with only a high school education has hovered in the mid-double digits, the unemployment rate for those with a college degree has stayed for the most part in the single digits. It is important that everyone have the opportunity to pursue a certificate, technical degree, or a bachelor’s degree to help them meet their career goals.
With this in mind, Mapping Your Future’s ongoing work to provide college, financial aid, financial literacy, and career information and services and other activities in support of our own mission will also be in support of the 2025 Goal.

Lumina Foundation, an Indianapolis-based private foundation, is committed to enrolling and graduating more students from college—especially 21st century students: low-income students, students of color, first-generation students and adult learners. Lumina’s goal is to increase the percentage of Americans who hold high-quality degrees and credentials to 60 percent by 2025. Lumina pursues this goal in three ways: by identifying and supporting effective practice, through public policy advocacy, and by using our communications and convening power to build public will for change.
