We need significantly more skilled workers to help grow the economy and create jobs for the future—increasing the nation’s postsecondary attainment is the solution. On Tuesday, August 28th, Lumina Foundation will host an expert panel in Tampa, FL near the Republican National Convention to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing America’s higher education system and what needs to be done to better prepare our nation for success in the knowledge economy.

Please join Lumina Foundation President Jamie Merisotis; Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce Director Anthony Carnevale; Miami Dade College President Eduardo Padron; Indiana Higher Education Commissioner Teresa Lubbers; American Chamber of Commerce Executives President Mick Fleming, and Young Invincibles Executive Director Aaron Smith to learn about new data and insights into the compelling advantages of education beyond high school for individuals, employers, metro markets and the nation. A cocktail reception will immediately follow the panel discussion.

On Tuesday, September 4th, Lumina Foundation will host an expert panel in Charlotte, NC near the Democratic National Convention to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing America’s higher education system and what needs to be done to better prepare our nation for success in the knowledge economy.

Please join Lumina Foundation President Jamie Merisotis; Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce Director Anthony Carnevale; Former North Carolina Central University Chancellor Charlie Nelms; American Chamber of Commerce Executives President Mick Fleming, and Young Invincibles Executive Director Aaron Smith to learn about new data and insights into the compelling advantages of education beyond high school for individuals, employers, metro markets and the nation. Attendees will be able to network and enjoy a brunch reception from 10-10:30 a.m. The panel discussion will start immediately following the brunch.
