Barbara Rodriguez is an administrative assistant at Lumina Foundation, an independent, private foundation in Indianapolis that is committed to making opportunities for learning beyond high school available to all. She supports Lumina’s vice president of strategic engagement and the communications team. Also, drawing on 16 years’ experience in the nonprofit sector, she provides highly specialized mentoring, training, and guidance to her administrative staff colleagues.
Before joining Lumina, Rodriguez worked 10 years in human resources at The Republic newspaper in Columbus, Indiana.
She has an associate degree in business management from Ivy Tech Community College, where she earned Phi Theta Kappa honors.
