Lucia Anderson Weathers

Lucia Anderson Weathers is the director of media relations for Lumina Foundation. Lucia joined the foundation in May 2010 and deals with all aspects of national and local media on behalf of the foundation. She co-manages the foundation’s strategic media partners portfolio, including: Hechinger Institute, Education Writer’s Association, American Public Media and The Washington Monthly.
Previously, Lucia acted as deputy director for an Indiana State Agency: The Hoosier Lottery. She handled the majority of internal communication, as well as external media relations for the agency. During her nearly 15-year career in public relations, Lucia has also held positions with the American Legion Auxiliary National Headquarters, WTHR-Channel 13, Riley Children’s Foundation and The American Legion National Headquarters.
She holds a master’s degree in business administration from Anderson University and a bachelor’s degree in public and corporate communication concentrating in journalism and public relations from Butler University in Indianapolis, Ind.
