The stories in this issue of Focus were reported and written by Shari Finnell, a journalist who has reported extensively on education and government for United Press International, The Indianapolis Star, and other publications. She also has served as editor-in-chief for Indianapolis Woman and St. Louis Woman magazines. As the former manager of media relations for Purdue University’s College of Agriculture, Finnell secured international media coverage for the faculty’s groundbreaking research on climate change and its impact on food production and food security. She is currently a communications consultant and the editor of Not-for-Profit News.
